We're getting a dog!

Hi!

meet Digit!

I have always wanted a Dalmatian, since i was a kid. I love their cute faces and of course, THE SPOTS!
and isn't this guy just the spottiest of dogs? He's gorgeous and he's ours, well almost.
He is currently in foster care in Spain, where he was abandoned and left in shelters for nearly 2 years of his little life 😢
He was "rescued" from the euthanize list by a wonderful organisation called 'Save a Spanish spot' (or SASS for short.)

For quite some time i have been wanting a Dally pup, but after weighing up the pros and cons of having a puppy and a 2 year old we decided against it. So i took to SASS, where i saw this gorgeous lad waiting and wanting a family all of his own! As you can see he isn't fully Dally, He is a cross (wait for it) Dalmatian x Great Dane.

Wish us luck with that.. a small two bed, a child, two adults and a cat. What could go wrong?

We called, we passed the home checks and he was offered to us. We are so excited, he sets off on his journey from Spain to the UK next month (March)

The crazy thing is we haven't met this lad so honestly don't know if he will like us or settle well but we have high hopes as his foster family say he's a wonderful boy who is desperate for cuddles. One of the best fosters they have had.

At the moment we are making our home ready for his arrival and little Mia (my kid i was telling you about) kind of understands but not really.. so that should go well 😂😂

I will keep you posted on his travels and will definitely do a little mini section all about Digit and his life with us, i'll maybe even title it something cool and edgy (maybe not, I'M not even cool and edgy)

Maybe "The dog years.." will stick.. we will see.

If you have any tips for this first time dog owner, please reveal your secrets!

Until next time,

Kat x
